This error is generated by the presence of tabs (rather than spaces) in .r* source files which (on Windows at least) makes Rails throw up. I found tabs in:
component.rhtml
_form.rhtml
_domain_name.rhtml … in my case func.rhtml
_new_edit.rhtml
